Born March 7, 1929 in Lansing, daughter of Levi Francis & Adah Belle (Eggleston) Brown. Rosalie graduated from Lyons High School where she loved playing basketball. She married George DeYoung January 15, 1949 in Lyons,MI. She was an original member of Saranac Community Church, where she was very active with church activities. She loved sailing, golf, fishing, sewing, knitting, baking & hosting parties. She was a Brownie & Girl Scout Leader when her daughters were young. Rosalie loved traveling the United States & the U.S.Virgin Islands with George & her family. She donated countless gallons of blood to the Red Cross. Survived by Michael (Ellen)DeYoung of Rockford,Janet Kilcoyne of Hudsonville, Carol(Michael) Levandoski of Hopkins & John (Paula) DeYoung of Hudsonville, Grandchildren,Sarah(Jason)Lawyer,Julia(Aron) Hauter, Clayson(Shari)DeYoung, Timothy Kilcoyne, Michael Levandoski Jr., Marie (Kevin) Willcome, Chelsea Vajko, John DeYoungII & Caryn(Brian) Sousley, 13 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Leonard DeYoung & many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband George, daughter Deborah Sue DeYoung, brother RC Collier, sister Frances Hamilton, step-brother Robert McConnell & step-sister,Maxine Reynolds. Funeral services at Saranac Community Church on Wednesday, April 16th at 11:00. Interment to follow at Saranac Cemetery. Visitation at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
