Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard 10 Mar 1955

Mrs. Libbie Sinkey DeYoung, 94, a former Ionia resident, died Tuesday in Stanton
where she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Nina Chapin on Route 2, for
many years.

Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Chapin, is a son, Perry James DeYoung, also
of Route 2, Stanton.  One son died in infancy and her husband, James DeYoung,
died June 24, 1934.

The body reposes at the Connolly funeral home until Friday when it will be taken
to the First Baptist church where services will be held at 2 o’clock with Dr.
H.R. Seelye officiating.  Interment will be at Crystal cemetery.
