Ionia Daily Standard - Monday, feb. 11, 1918

Mrs. Gideon Diamon of Saranac, mother of Duane Diamon, the seven years old boy 
who was killed last July by an automobile in the village, is dead, and the 
funeral will be held at the home tomorrow morning. Mrs. Diamon has never 
recovered from the shock of her son's death, which was particularly  tragic, 
coming just after he had recovered from a long and dangerous illness. It was 
not supposed that he would ever get well and when his convalescence was 
followed by his sudden death by accident the mother was prostrated. Prosecutor 
and Mrs. J.C. Watt and Mrs. Watt's sister, Mrs. Fred Locke of Bennington, will 
attend the funeral from here.
