Dibble Died Tuesday at Age of 91 Years Lerna C. Dibble, 91, died Tuesday at Belding City Hospital. She fell a week ago in her home at 424 Pearl Street where she lived with her son Frank and she gradually failed until she passed away, but until her fall she had been around the house each day. She was born in Otisco township, the daughter of Abijah and Hannah Rich and had always lived in this vicinity. She was married to Henry Dibble in 1879 and they went to the farm south of the city and lived there 64 years until they sold the farm to Harold Mawby seven years ago when Mrs. Dibble and her son moved to their present home on Pearl Street. The Dibbles had always been fruit growers and were known for the fine quality of their apples in which Mrs. Dibble always took a keen interest. Mr. Dibble died 15 years ago. She was a former member of the Maccabees and the East Otisco Farmers Club. Surviving are the two sons, Frank, at home, Arza of Traverse City. The funeral services today, Thursday, at the Fitzjohn Funeral Home, at 2 o’clock, will be private as she requested, but friends of the family will be welcomed. Rev. Lester Clough is the officiating minister and entombment will be in the mausoleum in River Ridge cemetery beside her husband. Chosen for pallbearers are George Farthing, Forest Schutts, Ernest Benton, George Wiley, Harold Mawby, and C. B. Johnston.
