JAMES DIBBLE Mrs. James Dibble was born in Horton Mountain, Queens county, Nov Scotia, September 4, 1827 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs.David Stine on March 31st, 1905 at the age of 77 years, six months, and 27 days. Her parents moved to New Jersey when she was six years old. When 12 years of age her mother died and she went to New York to live with an aunt, her father coming to Michigan. When she was 25 years of age she came to Clinton, Michigan to take are of ehr father. While there she was married to James Dibble, whose wife died and left him the care of a large family os small children, too which she gave a mothers care. To this union were born three children, two girls and one boy,, one daughter dying about 12 years ago. For the last eight years she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs.D.L.Stine. Since the death of her husband she has been quite feeble and a great sufferer, but heroic in spirit and always tired to make the best of life. It was remarkable how she kept so cheerful and suffered to much, but she was always patient and trusting her Lord and Master. She joined the church when a young girl and always held strongly to her faith. She was a gentle, loving Christian, who loved Christ and the church and manifested her character in the midst of pain and sickness. Her hope was always bright for the future, and her last days were spent patiently waiting for the Master to call her home. She leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter, one son, three step-daughters two step-sons and a host of relatives and friends. The last rites were held a the Congregational Church last Sunday, Rev. Skentelbury officiating, who went often to see her and was a great comfort to her in her last days of suffering. She was laid to her long rest beside her husband and daughter in Lakeside Cemetery.
