Ethard “Bus” Dick, 79, of 150 Prairie Street, Lyons, died at his home on
Saturday.  He was born on March 20, 1912, in North Plains Township, the son of
George and Sarah Goodwin Dick.  He attended rural schools.  He was a foreman for
the L.A. Meyers Construction Company, Chicago.  He retired in 1974.  He was a
lifetime resident of the Lyons/Muir area.  He was married to Leona Hanson in
February, 1936, in Angola, Ind.  She survives.

He is also survived by four sons, Virgil of Lyons, Robert of Ionia, George of
Ionia, and Wayne of Lyons; also raised by the Dicks, George Gomez; one daughter,
Bonnie Bridinger of Edmore; one sister, Vesta Guernsey of Laingsberg; 19
grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Lyons United Methodist
Church, with the Rev. Scott Otis officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial
Gardens Cemetery.  The family will be at the Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, on
Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
