Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday April 19, 1973

Services Held for Sylvia E. Dick
Mrs. Sylvia E. Dick, 52, passed away last Wednesday morning at Butterworth 
Hospital, Grand Rapids. She was admitted to the hospital Tuesday evening and had 
been hospitalized intermittently following a long illness.

She was born near Lake Odessa November 15, 1920, daughter of Fredrick and Lydia 
(Keim) Lumbert.

September 19, 1937 she married Marvin E.Dick of Lake Odessa and was a lifelong 
resident of the area. Mrs. Dick was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Surviving beside her husband is a daughter, Mrs.Donald (Connie) Burton, rural 
Woodland; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs.Leonard (Elsie) Johnson of 
Alto, Mrs.Viola Allen of Holt, Mrs.Dora Reger of Clare, Mrs.Virgil (Fern) Noel 
of Vicksburg and Mrs.Frank (Neva) Benier of Kalamazoo; three brothers, Archie 
Lumbert of Schoolcraft, Ray of Kalamazoo and Ivan of Holt.

Funeral services were held on Saturday April 14, at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, 
Lake Odessa. Rev. Marvin Zimmer man officiated with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
