He was the son of Daniel F. and Lydia I. Dick of Grand Ledge and was one of a family of nine children. He was married to Lena A. Havens on December 24, 1906, and to this union four daughters were born, Mrs. Guy Thorloy and Mrs. Stanley Harris of Lansing, and Marion and Beulah at home. Mr. Dick suffered a stroke of paralysis several years ago and never recovered from the effects of it. In all his suffering he was most patient and uncomplaining and often said that some way in the will of the Heavenly Father it must be all for the best. He was converted about four years ago and often expressed the willingness to die and also the assurance in his heart of peace with God and wanted his loved ones to prepare to meet him in Heaven. fter his conversion he united with the United Brethren church at Matherton and the funeral services were conducted from this church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. L. H. Cook of Carson City, and the body was laid to rest in the East Plains cemetery.
