Catherine was born Aug. 15, 1961, in Yale, to William and Anne Louise Johnson. She graduated from Belding High School in 1979 and graduated from Davenport College in 1981. She married James Dickey on Feb. 13, 1982, in Cullman, Ala. She was a manager for Red Lobster in Grand Rapids and Birmingham, Ala. The last 13 years, she worked in customer service at Wal-Mart in Jasper, Ala. As for a hobby, she loved to read, and with her beautiful voice she sang in the church choir and would sing at weddings. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Louise Johnson, in April 2004; brother, John Johnson and Martha Jane Johnson of Belding, in 1969; Sally Johnson of Yale, in 1956; nephew, Michael Senn of Stanton in 1991; mother- and father-in-law, Marcella and Cheatom Dickey of Arley, Ala. She is survived by her husband, James Dickey; sons, James Jr., William Dickey, daughter, Anna Maria Dickey, all of Arley, Ala.; father, William A. Johnson of Belding; sisters and their spouses, Linda and Edward Senn of Stanton, Joanne and Marcus Harman of Bethany, Okla., Carol and John Bricker of Tiffin, Ohio, Mary Lou and Douglas Himebaugh of Fruitport; sister-in-law, Donna and Danny Fields; brother-in-law, Garry and Michele of Alabama; a host of nieces and nephews; and very special friend, Sandy and Mitchell Scheid of Belding. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Cullman, Ala. on May 11. Burial is in Arley Methodist Church Cemetery beside Dickey family members.
