Ionia Sentinel Standard, Mar 2001

Frances H. Dickinson, 79, of Ionia Twp., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2001, at 
Spectrum Health, Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.  She was born the daughter 
of John and Grace (Rank) Higbee on Aug. 4, 1921 in Ionia.  Frances graduated 
from Ionia High School in 1938.  She worked at the A.C. Spark Plug Factory in 
Ionia.  She attended the Palo United Methodist Church and she was a member of 
the Banner Grange since 1948.  She was married Nov. 18, 1944 to Lloyd Dickinson 
and he survives.

Surviving are her husband, Lloyd; three sons, John (Janet) Dickinson, James 
Dickinson and Thomas Dickinson all of Ionia; one daughter, Margie (Howard) 
Pitch of Muir; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Bruce 
(Katie) Higbee of Ionia; and one sister, Jean (Thomas) Almy of Lyons.  She was 
preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lorraine Dickinson in 1942.  

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Palo United 
Methodist Church with Pastor Larry Nalett officiating.  Memorial contributions 
can be made to the Palo Methodist Church Memorial Fund.  Arrangements by Cook 
Funeral Home in Ionia.
