The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 31, 1954

James Dickout, 79, did early Tuesday morning at the Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital where he had been a patient since Monday.  He was born April 11, 
1875, in Dundee, Canada, son of Henry and Charlotte Whitten Dickout and came 
to Michigan at the age of seven.  He had resided in Ionia most of his life.  
He was married to Ida Thomas who preceded him in death in October of 1940.  He 
had lived for the past four years with his daughter, Mrs. William Templeton on 
Route 4.

Surviving besides his daughter, Mrs. Marie Templeton, are two grandchildren, 
Steve and Noreine Templeton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Myers funeral home 
with the Rev. Court O. Adams officiating.  Burial will be at Highland Park 
cemetery.
