Portland Review, 22 Aug 2004

Roger A. Dies, 50, of Portland passed away Aug. 15, 2004.  He was born in
Lansing Dec. 7, 1953 the son of Robert and Beverly (Rogers) Dies.  Roger was
always helping out neighbors and friends and loved to cook.  He was a great
husband and father who loved animals and was known for taking in stray cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Surviving are his wife of 25 years,
Susan Dies of Portland; children, Robert, Stacy and Kathy Dies of Portland;
brother, Tom (Twana) Dies of Portland; sisters, Patricia (Roger) Smith of
Fowler, Susan Johnson of Hastings, and Lorraine (Jim) Dean of Ionia; several
nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted Aug. 17 by the Rev. Steve Burkhart, Pastor of the Eagle
Wesley Chapel at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
