Ruth D. Dikmans, 94, of 332 E. Fargo St., Ionia, died Thursday morning at 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  She was born December 17, 1889, on a farm 
near Ionia the daughter of William and Frances C. (Powell) Normington.  She 
was married Sept. 10, 1921, to Dr. Gerard Dikmans.  He died in 1972.  She has 
lived in Ionia since 1962.  Prior to that they made their home in Washington 
D. C.  

She is survived by four nephews; Leo Normington of Arizona, William Normington 
of Muir; Lionel Normington of Portland, Warren Lapham of Detroit; and one 
niece; Mrs. Julia Miller of Albion.

Funeral services will be held Saturday t 1 p.m. from the Roetman Funeral Home, 
with Rev. Robert Nixon officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial 
Gardens.  Family will be at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 
9 p.m.  A memorial has been established, in care of the funeral home.
