Mr. Dildine was born 77 years ago the son of William and Catherine Dildine who settled at Dildine corners in Easton township in 1843. He was the youngest of seven children and was the last to be taken by death. He was married in 1878 to Jennie Crawford and to the union two sons, Harry, of Maryville, Mo., and Ray, of Lansing. Mrs. Dildine died in 1929. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church. Mr. Dildine lived almost his entire life in the neighborhood of the cross-roads in Easton township that bore the name of his parents. He was absent from the home community only when attending school in Ionia and during the past few winters which he spent with his sons.
