Born in that vicinity 68 years ago, Mrs. Dildine had lived in the community ever since, with the exception of the last two winters which she has spent at the home of her sons, Harry, of Maryville, Ill., last year, and Ray, of Lansing, this winter, where she had been cared for owing to the fact that she was almost an invalid from rheumatism. Until stricken with the illness that proved fatal last night, Mrs. Dildine could always be relied on to be in her pew of the little Dildine church, which was named for her and her husband, and their ceaseless devotion has done much to place this church in a high financial and spiritual standing among the rural churches of the county. Before her marriage, at the age of 18 years, she was Miss Jennie Crawford. Her husband as well as her sons survive her. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Nellie Crawford Dildine-Rhinehart, of Detroit, and two grandchildren, Mary and Glenn Dildine, the children of Dr. Harry Dildine. The funeral services will be held at the Dildine church Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock. These will be in charge of Rev. W. F. Kendrick. Burial will be in the Easton cemetery.
