The Ionia Standard, Friday, September 3, 1897
Mrs. Catherine S. Dildine, widow of William Dildine, died on Friday last, at 
the home of her son James in Easton.  She was one of the early settlers in 
that town, her residence dating from 1843.  She was an active, kind-hearted 
woman, of wide acquaintance and highly esteemed.  Her age was 77 years and the 
cause of death is given as old age.  Funeral services were held at the Dildine 
church, Easton, this morning.
