Dillenbeck, 85, of Belding died Monday, July 15, 1996 at Hospice Care Center in Grand Rapids. He was born Feb. 21, 1911 in Ionia, the son of Walter and Florence Randall Dillenbeck. He was employed as a foreman at Gibson’s for 21 years and was also a supervisor at the former Jolly Kids. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He married Belma Hogan and she preceded him in death in March of 1983. He is survived by four daughters: Joyce (Jim) Cole of Grand Rapids, Shirley (Dave) Johnson of Grand Rapids, Joanna Holderman of Greenville and Judy Benson of Grand Rapids; one son, Walter (Arlene) Dillenbeck of Belding; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Chapin of Greenville. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Mary, Virginia, and Mabel. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home in Belding with Deacon Howard Scheid officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. There will be a vigil service at 8 p.m. with Bob Chapin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Greater Grand Rapids or the St. Joseph Building Fund.
