All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sandy Heintzelman sheintz@iserv.net December 4, 2009, 7:47 pm Ionia Sentinel, Monday, September 22, 1952 Charles Frederick Dillenbeck, 70, a former Ionia resident, died at his home at 148 Lafayette N.E., Grand Rapids, Sunday, September 21, at 2:30 a.m. He was employed for many years in the mechanical departments of the Ionia Sentinel, the Ionia Standard and the Crawford Dillenbeck Printing Co., a job printing plant, and at the time of his death was employed in the same department of the Grand Rapids Press. He was married June 5, 1916, in Grand Rapids to Miss Genevieve [the last name and place are unreadable in the copy I have]. Surviving are his wife; Jennie; a daughter, Mrs. John [unreadable], Grand Rapids; two sons, The Rev. Fr. Frederick Dillenbeck, CSR, of New Orleans, La., and the Rev. Fr. Robert Dillenbeck, CSR, of Davenport, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Mable Dake of Ionia; a brother, Lee Dillenbeck, of Ionia; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Florence Dillenbeck of Ionia; and an aunt, Mrs. Frank Wirtz, of Ionia. The body is reposing at the Alt funeral home in Grand Rapids. The Holy Name society, St. Vincent’s DePaul society and the Knights of Columbus and friends will recite rosary Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus’ church. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery.
