He was born in England and came to America in 1850, settling in New York state and in 1854 moving to Sunfield. In 1886 deceased became a resident of Portland, removing to Muir some ten years ago. He is the patentee of the well-known Dilley Queen Washing machine, for several years manufactured in Muir, but now made in this village. Deceased is survived by a widow and four children, Benjamin, of Sunfield, Zene and Will, of Muir, and Mrs. Walter Ranger, of Lyons. The funeral was held in Portland Monday under Masonic auspices, the service being held at the Baptist church.
