Dilley, the oldest son of John and Florence A. Dilley passed quietly away in his home at Sunfield, October 1st, 1919, at 6 o’clock in the evening. He was 49 years, 8 months, 21 days old. At the age of 23 he was united in marriage to Ella E. Jones of Portland and they began housekeeping soon afterwards. They lived for 25 years on a farm 1 ˝ miles south and east of Sunfield. In the month of January, 1919, they moved to the village. He is survived by his wife, and son, Orlay, one sister, Bell Ranger, of Lyons; two brothers, Will and Zean Dilley, of Muir; also many other relatives and friends. Funeral was held Sunday at 10:30 o’clock at the house and 11 o’clock at the United Brethren church, Sunfield. Rev. John Mellish officiating. Burial was at Grand Ledge.
