She was born in Lawrence County, Ohio on Jan. 12, 1910, and had lived in Michigan since 1950, mostly in the Lake Odessa area. Marjorie is survived by her children, Paul (Linda) Dillon of Caledonia, Ethel (Tom) Wilkinson of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., Glen (Maxine) Dillon of Lake Odessa, Larry Dillon of Lake Odessa and Edie (Jack) Hawley of Las Vegas, Nev.; 13 grandchildren including her special granddaughters and caregivers, Dana, Mary and Kara; 13 great-grandchildren and sisters and brother, all of Springfield, Ohio, Myrtle Walters, Lucy McWilliams and Orlyn Watson. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Verba (Sanders) Watson; her husband, Donald Dillon; son, Donald “Junior” Dillon and sister and brothers, all of Springfield, Ohio, Audrey Donohoe, Raymond Watson, Leslie Watson, Linus Watson and Emmit Watson. Visitation will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa on Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. A service of committal will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 31 in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Ionia. A special “Thank you” is given to Hospice of Ionia and Lansing for the kindness and caring shown to Mom and the members of her family. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Area Hospice.
