F. J. Fitch. Many of those who came for the funeral services had known Avis from her early babyhood, and had watched her admiringly as she grew to promising girlhood. Others had known her only through the last few months of her life, when even in sickness she had never failed to smile. Some time after she had ceased to speak to those who were with her she still was able to smile at them. She had never been known to do an unkind act or say an unkind word. Relatives, Herbert Dinning, Frank Frost, Jerrold Frost, and George Hoppough, served as bearers. Interment was in the Highland Park cemetery. Those from out of town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cartridge and Dale and Mr. and Mrs. James Wright, of Belding; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Spaulding, of Pewamo; Mrs. Norah Thomas and Michael, of Grand Rapids; Bert McNeilly, of Lowell, and Mr. and Mrs. William Carpenter, of Palo.
