He was born January 14, 1941 in Sparr, Michigan the son of Edelphons and Rose (Matelski) Dipzinski. Ben married Jane Hoeberling July 1, 1961 in Gaylord. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 324, and the Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time with his family and his many dogs. He enjoyed puttering in the barn for countless hours, cutting wood and gardening. With his warm personality and contagious smile he could strike up a conversation with anyone. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jane Dipzinski of Ionia, children; Janie (Gary) Bushong of Ionia, Benedict (Dawn) Dipzinski of Ada, Kari Jones of Ionia. Grandchildren; Garret Bushong, Grant Bushong, Bennett Dipzinski, Connor Dipzinski, Aubrey Dipzinski, Katie Jones, Kyle Jones. Brothers Richard (Barb) Dipzinski of Illinois, John Dipzinski of Ohio, his twin Bernie Dipzinski of Ohio; sisters Marion Butka of Berkley, Tisha Sides of Gaylord; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Natalie Dipzinski, his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Special thanks to Heartland Hospice and his caregiver Dee Thayer. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Boufford and Deacon Zenon Cardenas officiating. Visitation will be on Friday 5-7 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with a Rosary at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make contributions to Heartland Hospice or Mackenzie’s No Kill Sanctuary.
