Currigan currigan1932@concast.net September 10, 2023, 11:38 am Ionia Sentinel Standard Fri.September 30, 2022 JANE DIPZINSKI Jane Leigh (Hoeberling) Dipzinski, otherwise know affectionately as "Dip", left this world to be with her Lord on September 15, 2022. Jane was born March 20, 1943 to Carl Heberling and Lucy (Roberts) Hoeberling in Detroit, Michigan. She married Ben Dipzinski July 1, 1961 in Gaylord, Michigan after he charmed the city girl from Detroit, as she told it, with his handsome good looks. together they raised three children Janie (Gary) Bushong of Ionia and Pompano Beach, Fl, Ben (Dawn) Dipzinski of Stuart, FL, and Kari Jones of Ionia. She loved her grandchildren beyond measure and never missed an opportunity to brag about them or spend time with them, whether in person or with a phone call. She was known as "Grandma Dip" by her adoring grandchildren who loved her deeply. Garret (Taryn) Bushong, Grant Bushong (Audrey Castro), Bennett, Connor and Aubrey Dipzinski, Katie and Kyle Jones. We know Dip had a hand in sending us her first great-grandchild Preslee Shay Bushong, born on September 17, 2022. Jane leaves behind her only sibling who she adored and admired,Carl(Mickey) Hoeberling of Banning, CA as well as her many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother-in-law Bernie Dipzinski of Ashland, OH and sister-in-law Patricia Sides of Gaylord, MI. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Ben, granddaughter Natalie Dipzinski, and her parents. Dip will be forever known as "The Lunch Lady". She proudly wore that title at Ionia Public Schools for 36 plus years. She also took her job as a union steward from man years very seriously and was tenacious at working for the girls in the kitchen. We will miss our family Matriarch and Mother Pinochle, fun loving, no worries gal, but we take comfort in the many happy memories we have of her and the legacy she leaves us.Dip was a lifelong dog lover, so in lieu of flowers please consider making a contribution to the Ionia County Animal Shelter. Visitation will be Friday October 7th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with a Rosary from 6:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 8 at 11:00 am at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia. There will be an additional visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral service in the church.
