Dixon, 82, of West Washington street, died Monday at Ionia Memorial hospital after being a patient for the past few weeks. She was born in Kalkaska, October 26, 1893, the daughter of Charles and Ida Thompson Osborn. She attended schools at Kalkaska and Williamsburg. She married Earl Dixon in Traverse City January 29, 1918 and they made their home at Traverse City until moving to Ionia in 1926. Her husband preceded her in death September 19, 1946. She continued to make her home in Ionia. For the past few years she has made her home with her children. She was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic church in Ionia. Surviving are four sons; Charles of Ionia, Donald of Howard City, Hubert of Saranac, and Harry of Kinde; two daughters; Mrs. Francis (Vera) Brady of Ionia and Mrs. Carol Piggot of Portland; 33 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. from the SS Peter and Paul church with Rev. Edward Orlowski officiating. Interment is at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
