Wave, Thursday, May 18, 1972 Double Funeral For Dobsons Double funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Dobson, a Vermontville couple killed Sunday in an auto crash near Grand Ledge, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Vermontville Methodist Church. Mr. Dobson, 79, a World War I veteran, was a member of the VFW at Nashville and the American Legion Post of Vermontville. He was employed at the Kellogg Co., Battle Creek, and was a part-time farmer. Surviving him are a half-brother and three half-sisters. Dr. Dobson's wife, Stacie, 76, also killed in the crash, is survived by a brother and a sister. She was a former music teacher in Chicago and gave private music lessons in Vermontville. She was a member of the Vermontville Woman's Club and a 4-H leader. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dobson were members of World War I Barracks and Auxiliary. He was past commander of the Fourth District Barracks of World War I and Mrs. Dobson was past president of the district Auxilliary.
