Hasting's Reminder - Saturday October 1,2022

                                 VIVIAN DOCKTER

Vivian Dockter, age 90, of Woodland,MI passed away on September 26, 2022, at 
Commonwealth Senior Living at Grand Rapids in Grand Rapids, MI.

Vivian was born inDetroit, July 16, 1932, a daughter of the late Ethel 
(Klackling) and Ivan Watson.

She was married to Mr.Dale Dockter in 1949 and the couple began their family 
together in the Woodland area where they raised their chidlren.

Vivian was employed at the Barry County Medical facility for over 30 years, 
beginning her career as a hairdresser. Vivian expanded her duties into being a 
nurse's aide for several years, before joining the central supply department, 
where she was responsible for sanitizing, and sterilization of medical 
instruments.

Vivian was a dedicated worker, who along with her duties at the medical facility 
also owned and operated The "Dockters Inn", in Clarksville with her husband 
Dale.

Although her spare time was limited, when she was able to get away, she enjoyed 
going shopping and taking her time looking at the "shining" things. For over 60 
years Vivian enjoyed watching her sons play in the band which they did since 
they were young teenagers.

Vivian is survived by her sons, Larry (Melissa) Dockter, Lance (Teresa) Dockter, 
daughter Linda (Darrell) Huhn; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale in 2009; her brothers, Victor 
Watson and Earl Watson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday,Oct.1, 2022 at 2 pm at Daniels Funeral 
Home-Nashville, conveniently located at 9200 E.M.79 Hwy, Nashville, MI.

The family will receive visitors, on Saturday, Oct.1, 2022 from noon to 2 pm at 
Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville.

Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Woodland 
Memorial Park, Woodland,MI.

Following the graveside service, the family has invited friends and relatives 
for a time of fellowship and luncheon at the Woodland Eagles.
