The Ionia County Shopper’s Guide, Saturday, February 22, 2014


Wesley Dodds, 70, of Morenci, passed away February 7, 2014 after a lengthy 
illness.  He was born November 29,1943 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Wes moved to Ionia and married Kathi Davis on September 21, 1991.  He was an 
avid bike rider.  He owned his own video business for many years.  He also 
provided transportation to several people in the Morenci area and worked at the 
laundromat and theater.

He is survived by his wife Kathi, sons Wesley of Ashland, Oregon and Rick of 
Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren; one great grandson; sister Doris Darby of 
Sault Canada; special nieces Stephanie and Michelle Davis of Ionia, as well as 
many more nieces and nephews; and his much loved cat Stinky.

A service will be held in the spring at the Sylvania, Ohio Community of Christ 
Church where Kathi is the pastor.
