DODDS, MILES:
   DAILY SENTINEL-STANDARD, Ionia, MI; ca 8-18-1946, page 2:  "Deaths - MILES L.
DODDS, 76, died Sunday about 12:45 p.m. at his home in Saranac.
   He was born June 13, 1870, in Boston township where he has resided all his
life except two years he lived in South Dakota.
   He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; a son, Hugh; two daughters, Mrs Eugene
Cahoon and Mrs Catherine Story of Saranac; five grandchildren; a brother, James,
of Florida and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Walker of Lowell.
   Funeral services will be held from the Morris funeral home Wednesday at 2
o'clock with the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating.  Interment will be at Saranac
cemetery.
   The body will remain at his home until Wednesday at 10 a.m."

   THE IONIA COUNTY NEWS, MI; August 22, 1946:  "SARANAC - MILES DODDS was born
June 13, 1870 in Boston township and passed away at his home in Saranac, Sunday
afternoon, August 18.  He leaves his wife, Gertrude, 2 daughters, Mrs. Eugene
Cahoon and Mrs. Ware Storey, one son, Hugh J., a brother, James of Florida, one
sister, Mrs. Hattie Walker of Lowell and five grandchildren.  The funeral was
held Wednesday from the Morris Funeral home.  Rev. Glenn McCarty officiated and
burial was in the Saranac cemetery."
