MRS.ELLA R. DODSON

Mrs.Ella R. Dodson, 84, died at the Robinson nursing home in Ionia at 6:30 
Thursday evening, where she had been a patient since June of 1956. She was 
formerly of Long Lake and Orleans Township.

Born August 18, 1872 in Orleans township, her parents wre Joseph & Anna Howard. 
She was married March 26, 1895 to James Edward Dodson and he died in August of 
1924.

Mrs. Dodson lived on a farm in Orleans township for a shore time and later moved 
to Orleans where she resided most of her life. She was a member of the Orleans 
Methodist church & a member of the Pioneers club. Surviving are a stepdaughter, 
Mrs.L McNeilly of Lowell an an adopted daughter, Mrs.Ruth Musselman of Belding; 
one sister, Mrs.Oliver Ransom of Ionia; two brothers, Gardner Howard of Ionia & 
Joseph Howard of Monrovia, Calif.; two grandchildren & six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at Boynton's 
funeral home. The Rev. H.S.Ellis will officiate & interment will be in Orleans 
cemetery.
