Ionia Daily Standard, 26 & 30 Jul 1906

Mrs. Herman Doebbert died at 5 o’clock this morning, at the home on Allen
street.  She had long been a patient sufferer from consumption, and was aged 52
years.  The husband and one daughter are the only members of the bereaved
family.  Time of funeral not yet fixed.

The funeral of Mrs. Herman Doebbert was very largely attended from St. John’s
Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon, besides the many neighboring friends
present, there being also a line of about fifty of the Pere Marquette shopmates
of the bereaved husband; this body of men also sent a large floral harp to the
memory of the good woman gone.  The bearers were: Louis Melzow, William Holtz,
Herman Priest, Louis Speckin.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Highland Park Cemetery.]
