          OBITUARY

   Henry Doerr was born March 15, 1862, in Ontario, Can., and died at Lake Odessa,
Mich., April 27, 1931.  He 
was married to Miss Frances Beckhold, September 26, 1885 at West Sebewa.

   Four children were born to this union.  Adah and Elizabeth of Geona, Ohio, and
Charles of Cass City, Mich., a 
young son William died in infancy.

   As recorded last week the deceased has been a highly respected citizen of this
community for over 40 
years, always faithful to every duty and always appreciated any kindness shown him. 
For many years he was 
a faithful member of the Congregational church where the funeral was held last
Thursday.  The sermon was 
given by the pastor Rev. G. J. Start and the music was by Mrs. O. B. Garlinger and
Mrs. G. J. Start 
accompanied by Mrs. L. T. Gilson.  Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.

   Those in attendance from away were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wicks of Grand Rapids,
Mrs. Anna Stinchcomb of 
Lowell, Howard and Harold Huber of Detroit, and Warren Klinkman of Cass City.

   Mr. Doerr worked for the Pere Marquette railroad 44 years.

                       CARD OF THANKS

   We wish to thank the Lake Odessa friends and neighbors, the Horseshoe club,
Walter Wortley, the business 
men, Pere Marquette employees, Rebekah lodge, I. O. O. F. lodge. Congregational
church, the singers and 
Rev. George J. Start for the kindness and for the flowers and other services given
us at the time of the death 
of our father.
