The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, May 8, 1969


A former Portland resident, Mrs. Alta M. Dole, 78, of 321 South 8th, Lansing, 
died Wednesday.  She lived in Lansing 40 years, having worked for the tax 
department for many years and also teaching in Lansing schools.  

Her husband, Warren preceded her in death in 1961.  Surviving is a brother, 
Earl D. Swiler of Portland.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Neller funeral home in 
Portland.  Rev. Raymond Norton will officiate and burial will be at North 
Eagle cemetery.
