Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. July 16, 2013

Dorothy Dolley of Ionia, went to heaven on July 12. 2013. She was born on May 
28, 1931 in Hubbardston, the daughter of Henry Otto and Dorothy Avice 
(Hatfield) Grill. She married Jesse B. Dolley, Jr.  on Dec. 7, 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, a grandson and 
great grandson. 

Dorothy is survived by her children; Bryan (Kathy) Dolley of Lyons, Mark Dolley 
of Dalton, Ga., Valerie Emelander of Ionia, Jeffrey (Kelly) Dolley of 
Adairsville, Ga., Terry (Randy) Haggert of Spring City, Tenn., and Dwayne 
Dolley of Rockwood, Tenn.; her brother and sisters; Avis Apps of Waggoner, 
Ill., Lois Cremeans of Ionia, John (Donna) Grill of Ionia and Martin Grill of 
Ionia; brother-in-law, Tony (Sheila) Dolley of Grand Rapids and sister-in-law, 
Dora (Elmer) Jones of Ionia. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 31 great 
grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many special nieces, nephews 
and some very special people who call her Mom or Grandma Dorothy and many other 
special friends.

She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and a life member of the WWI 
Auxiliary. She also did volunteer work for over 35 years for Eight Cap and 
Ionia County Commission on Aging.

Instead of flowers, she would like donations given to either, Ionia County 
Commission on Aging, Cancer Research, Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church or the 
needs of the family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 at Lincoln Avenue 
Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial 
Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6 to 7 p.m. at Lincoln Avenue Baptist 
Church. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia. Online condolences may be
