Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. July 26, 1968


Mrs. Bernice Florence Dolson, 78, who was a resident of the New Mertens hotel 
in Grand Rapids, suffered an apparent heart attack in downtown Grand Rapids 
Thursday afternoon and was dead on arrival at St. Mary's hospital in Grand 
Rapids.

 She had lived most of her life in the Chicago, Ill. and Grand Rapids area 
residing at the hotel since 1965. She was born in Cratton Center, in kent 
county, July 10, 1890, the daughter of Charles l. and Eleanor Brown and was the 
widow of Rodney D. Dolson.

 She is survived by one stepson and a niece.

 Funeral services will be at Boynton funeral home Saturday at 3:30 pm. Rev. 
Chester Erickson of Zion United Methodist church will officiate. Interment will 
be at Highland Park cemetery.
