The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, February 12, 1958



Mrs. Roy MacNaughton of 635 West Washington street received word Wednesday 
morning that her brother, Rodney Dolson, had died in a Chicago hospital.  Mr. 
Dolson was born in Ionia and lived here until after his marriage.  He lived for 
a while in Grand Rapids, then moved to Chicago, where he lived many years.  He 
was born September 30, 1885, the son of Charles and Nellie Dolson.

Surviving besides his wife, Bernice, are the following:  a son, Roy Dolson; two 
sisters, Mrs. Roy MacNaughton of Ionia, and Mrs. Eva Town of Royal Oak; a 
sister-in-law, Mrs. George C. Dolson of Chicago; a niece, Mrs. Judith Martin of 
Royal Oak; a nephew, Gordon Town of Saginaw; a brother-in-law, Victor Carlisle 
of Chicago, and a grandson.

The body will be at the Highland Park Mausoleum until spring, when services 
will be held.  Boynton’s funeral home is making the arrangements.
