Donald E. Donally, 64, of Ionia, passed away May 6, 2004 in Ionia.  He as born 
September 12, 1939 in Grand Rapids the son of Donald G. and Bernice (Maynard) 
Donally.

He graduated from Ionia High school in 1957.  He later attended LCC and MSU.  
He married Donna Law June 8, 1963 in Lansing.  He served in the Air Force and 
Navy Reserve during Vietnam Era.  He was employed by General Motors in their 
fire prevention department until retiring in 1992.  He was a member of Ionia 
First Presbyterian Church and Local United Auto Workers 652 of Lansing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna of Ionia; sons, Donald L. Donally of 
Jenison, Patrick and Sandra Donally of Warren, Ind., Alex Donally of Ionia, 
Michael Donally of Ionia; daughter Valerie and David Huston of Lansing, Bethany 
and Brian Lyvere of Ionia; half brother, Keith and Nancy Donally of New Mexico; 
half sister, Glenna and Robert Logan of Diamondale; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and half brother, Charles Downing.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, at First Presbyterian Church in 
Ionia with Rev. Judith Shaver officiating.  Interment Balcom Cemetery.  
Visitation will be Saturday 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  You 
may make a memorial contribution in his name to West Michigan Hospice or First 
Presbyterian Church.
