Burial will be in Riverridge Cemetery. He died in his home at 122 W. Main St. late Wednesday following an eight months illness. His wife Mary, and two brothers, Frank M. Donovan and Lawrence A. Donovan, both of Belding, survive. He previously had taught journalism at the University of Detroit and had been connected with the National Bank of Detroit and the Central Hanover Bank, New York. He was prominent in Belding Masonic and American Legion circles. ------------ Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Apr 1951 Funeral services for Dr. John Donovan, Belding dentist who died this week, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. from the Fales-Huffman funeral chapel. Interment will be at the Riverridge cemetery at Belding. Services will be conducted by the Rev. H.S. Ellis and by the Belding lodge 355 F&AM. Survivors besides the wife include two brothers Frank Donovan, Belding city attorney, and Hap Donovan, Belding restaurant owner.
