He had been in poor health about two years. Mr. Doolittle was for many years a resident of Danby. His wife, who died a year ago, was formerly Minnie Horner, a daughter of the late Hozial Horner. The children are Ray Doolittle, Danby; Roy Doolittle, Prince Albert, Canada; Miss Hazel Doolittle, Mrs. Gertrude Stahl, Mrs. Anette Jeffries, Lansing; Mrs. Ethelyn Berkley, Woodland. Deceased was 73 years old and had lived at Woodland for some time. Before he became ill he was street commissioner of the village and took a prominent part in the town’s affairs. After he became ill the daughter, Mrs. Berkley, and family, moved into his home and have helped care for him. That recovery was impossible had been revealed in an exploratory operation at a Lansing hospital last year, but he was comparatively free from pain until a few days before his death.
