Barbara Sue Dora, 70, of Ionia, passed away May 25, 2014.  She was born 
February 22, 1944 in Portland the daughter of Vern and Vesta (Stair) Hummell. 

Barbara married Leo Dora on February 10, 1961 in Portland.  She worked at Ionia 
Memorial Hospital for 44 years as a Medical Staff Coordinator.  Barbara was 
very dedicated to her work and enjoyed gambling. 

Barbara is survived by her husband of 53 years, Leo Dora of Ionia; children, 
Connie (Rodney) Zeller of Belding, Jackie (Dan) Haney of Orleans, and Glenn 
(Penny) Dora of Greenville; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dennis Dora and Christopher 
Dora; daughter, Wanda Dora and sister, Marie Kauffman. 

Memorial Services will be Thursday, May 29, 12 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Father Larry King officiating.  Visitation on Wednesday, May 28, 2-4 
p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment at Portland Cemetery.  
Memorial Donations may be made in Barbara’s name to the American Cancer Society.
