John G. “Jerry” Doran, 82, of Belding, passed away Friday afternoon, Dec. 18,
2015 at home under the loving care of his family and Ionia Area Hospice.  Jerry
was born on Nov. 8, 1933 near Parnell, the son of James and Pauline (Odette)
Doran.  He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Navy.

Jerry is loved and survived by his wife, Gail; and their children, Sean Doran of
Belding, Colleen (John) Timpson, Kathleen (David) Hoseth, both of Lowell,
Christine (John) Ray, Timothy Doran, Kimberly Doran and partner, Daron Ensign,
all of Belding; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and his sisters,
Bette Metts, Verna Rogers, Mary Stockinger and Polly McGlade.  Jerry was
preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Doran.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at St. Patrick
Catholic Church, Parnell, with Father Mark Peacock as celebrant.  Committal
prayers will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Following the committal prayers a
luncheon will be held at the Belding VFW.  Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.  Memorials may be given to
Ionia Area Hospice.
