Mabel. H. Dorey, 57, of 99 Vosper street, Saranac, died suddenly Friday evening 
at her residence following a heart attack.  The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hal 
Patrick, she was born May 16, 1910 in Berlin township and resided most of her 
life in Saranac.

She was a kindergarten teacher for seven years and for the past 19 years was 
kindergarten teacher at Saranac grade school. 

Mrs. Dorey was a member of and past director of Christian education.  An active 
member of the Bible study group, she was also a member of the Women’s 
fellowship and evening circle and had just been appointed a member of the 
commission on missions.

She is survived by one son, Thomas of Durand, one daughter, Mrs. Deanna 
Ferguson of Grand Rapids, two grandchildren and her mother, Mrs. Daisy Patrick 
of Saranac.

Funeral services will be on Monday at 2 p.m. in the new Saranac Community 
church.  Burial will be in Saranac cemetery with Rev. Eldon Cummings 
officiating.  The body will be at Morris-Roetman funeral home in Saranac until 
noon Monday when it will be moved to the church.
