Wilma was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Ionia County, the daughter of George and Edna Woodmansee Fletcher. She graduated from Palo High School with the class of 1941 as salutatorian. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 203 Ladies Auxiliary in Belding. Wilma worked for Ditmar’s Bakery and later retired from Gibson’s in Belding. Wilma enjoyed antique tractor shows, deer hunting trips and the yearly family vacation to Big Bay in the U.P. Wilma loved playing cards with her Monday group at the Belrockton. She was married on Oct. 20, 1942, in Belding to Archie M. Dorey and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lois Baker in 1984; son, Larry in 2003; her sisters, Hazel and Donna; and brothers, Raymond, Russell and Neil. She is survived by her children, James (Jeanette) Dorey of Greenville and Donna Dorey of Belding; a son-in-law, Dennis Baker of Tennessee; grandchildren, Kevin Dorey, Deanna Kimball, Darin (Karen) Dorey, Jeff (Denise) Dorey, Carrie (Branden) Peterman, Holly (Don) Stacey and Chris (Ambra) Dorey; 12 great-grandchildren, Jake, Samantha, Emma, Colton, Shelby, Elijah, Kaitlyn, James, Addisen, Jessica, Darby and Esten; a brother-in-law; and two sisters-in-law, Marvin (Myrtle) Sage of Muir, Eloise Sage of Muskegon. Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment will follow in River Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour and a half before the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Belding Museum.
