At the age of six years she came with her parents to Howell, Livingston county, Mich., where she lived until about a year before she was married to Charles Willis Doty of Berlin who died Nov. 16, 1908, terminating their married life of thirty-five years. When a young woman she was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church. Later in life it was impossible for her to identify herself with church but she lived a good life. She was the mother of fourteen children, six sons and eight daughters, thirteen of whom survive her. One Julia Amanda, died Nov. 12, 1896, at the age of nearly twenty years. We mourn the loss of a true, loving mother whose life has been a living, daily sacrifice for us, her children. The funeral was held Wednesday at one o’clock at her home in Berlin township. Rev. R.V. Birdsall officiated. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/d/doty16084nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
