Doty, 75, of Belding died Monday morning June 25, 2007 at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus in Greenville. Stan was born on April 4, 1932 in Orleans, the son Maxwell and Marion Patterson Doty. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1981 from the Oldsmobile Assembly Plant No.2 in Lansing after 30 years of service. He later owned Stan's Saw and Tool Shop in Orleans. He was a member of the American Legion Post 203 of Belding, the Belding Masonic Lodge No. 355 FA&M and Shiloh Community Church. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with this family and attending his grandkids sporting events. He was married on March 29, 1958 in Belding to Shirley Moore and she survives along with their children, Ginney and Howard Bauer of Belding, Ladonna Doty of Vickeryville, Kathy and Mark Kohn of Belding and Thomas and Jane Doty of Cedarville. Stan is also survived by his grandchildren, Jon and Kelly Kohn, Aaron Kohn, Kyle Kohn, Sheri and Roger Willmore, Wendi and Jim O'Connor, Trenton Miller, Todd Miller, Travis Miller, Amanda Doty, Lisa Patterson, Michael Moore, Riley Diskin and LaTonya Diskin; several great grandchildren, his sisters, Elsie Jean Kroes of Belding, Lurline Lawrence of Fenwick, his brother, Laverne and Louise Doty of Whalen and sister in law, Iloa Doty of Fenwick. Stan was preceded by his parents two sisters, one brother, and stepson, Michael Moore. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment will follow in Orleans Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Shiloh Community Church. Memorials may be given to Shiloh Community Church or Gratiot Home Care. Care and services were entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
