Douglas, 45, died Thursday at Saginaw Veteran’s Hospital. Mr. Douglas was born May 12, 1939 in Belding and was a lifetime resident of the Belding area. He was a member of the Olson-Kiste VFW Post 4406 at Belding, and also the Ray I. Booth Post 101, American Legion, Greenville. Survivors include his wife, Carol; one daughter, Mrs. Dean (Tamara) Oberlin, Belding; four sons, Gordon, Ionia, Kenneth, Leo and Michael, Crete, Neb.; a sister, Mrs. Howard (Barbara) Hoag, Midland; two brothers, Harold Douglas, Belding, Jerry Douglas, N.D.; three stepsisters, Mrs. Evelyn Williams, Belding, Mrs. Geraldine Smith, Belding, Mrs. Vern (Mabel) Bunce, Belding; one stepbrother, Gerry Ward, Belding; and two grandchildren. Military graveside services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at River Ridge Cemetery under the auspices of Olson-Kiste Post 4406 VFW, Belding. Interment will be in River Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Charles M. Courser Funeral Home, Belding.
