Lyons – Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Douglass, 68, will be Monday at 2 pm at 
Shaw-Rivett – Hull funeral home in Muir.  Burial will be in Muir cemetery.

Mrs. Douglass, who lived at 549 Liberty, Muir, died early Friday morning at 
Sparrow hospital in Lansing.

She was born May 20, 1900 at Harbor Springs, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Henry Babcock.  A graduate of Harbor Springs high school and Michigan State 
college in East Lansing, she was a home economics teacher in several schools, 
including Lyons high school.  She was retired in 1946.

In March, 1946 she was married to William Douglass of Muir and they owned and 
operated a cider mill there until it was sold two years ago.

She is survived by her husband William and nieces and nephews.
