Ionia Sentinel – 15 September 1969
Mrs. Tressa Laraine Dowdell, 49, of 213 ½ West Main, Belding died Friday 
evening at Grand Rapids Osteopathic hospital following a short illness.  Born 
in Stanton, July 28, 1920 she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Case and 
lived most of her adult life in the Belding area. She was married to Arthur W. 
Dowdell, June 20, 1942 at Stanton, and was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran 
church of Belding.



Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Harris of Belding 
and Mrs. Richard Hamilton of Germany; one son, Terry of Belding; three 
grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. William Edmonds and Mrs. Ancel Batten both of 
Belding, Mrs. Erik Delemarter of Bath and Mrs. Lenville Williams of Lima, Ohio; 
one brother, George Case of Belding.



Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 pm at Charles M. Courser funeral home in 
Belding.  Rev. Henry C. Lubben will officiate and interment will be at River 
Ridge cemetery in Belding.
