Portland Observer, 11 Dec 1952

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Lake Odessa for Ezekial J. 
Downing, 91, a retired Sebewa township farmer, who passed away at his home 
Friday after prolonged illness.  

Surviving are the widow, Sarah; daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Foster, of Sunfield and 
Mrs. Ilah Johnson, of Holt; sons, Vernon, of Grand Rapids and Homer, of 
Portland.  

Burial was in Sebewa Baptist cemetery.  Rev. A.J. Pitman officiated at services.
