Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Aug 1931

Dale Downing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Downing and nephew of Mrs. Fred Parr,
died in St. Lawrence hospital, Lansing, Thursday of peritonitis that followed in
operation for appendicitis.  He leaves two little daughters, Margie and Joyce,
who live with the grandparents.  Dale had been employed for 16 years in the
offices of the Oldsmobile company.  A brother, Carl, also survives.
